Yea a Iused to not care about points but then I got like literally 10 points in one week, including a silver followed by two golds in a row!  I thought they never give two golds in a row.

But then I got killed for many months thereafter.

A genius move by Fincher and writer Andrew Kevin Walker is the way the violent acts are implied and not seen.  We see the aftermath, just like the detectives do.  At the end when John Doe explains to Mills in the desert what happened with Tracy:  "It didn't work out."  We're forced to imagine how that played out, and once again, only see the results of the criminal act.  In fact, the only time we see a truly violent act in real time is at the very end.

"If John Doe's head splits open and a UFO should fly out, I want you to have expected it."

The drawers full of empty bottles of Aspirin was a nice touch.

A great Gwenyth Paltrow double be-header is:  Se7en followed by Contagion.  Yes, the viewing order is important!!
